Where skedly stands today
skedly is an Android app in pre-launch for scheduling WhatsApp messages to contacts, groups and contact lists, with attachments and recurring messages. It is not yet available in app stores. You can try an interactive demo and join the waitlist; pricing and a release date have not been announced.
From a draft to a scheduled message
A useful scheduler makes these four decisions explicit. You can explore the message and time steps in the skedly demo; the public demo is a simulation and sends no WhatsApp messages.
Choose who will receive it
Select a contact, group or contact list. Check the recipient before you schedule: a correct message in the wrong chat is still the wrong message.
Prepare the text and attachments
Write the complete message. If you need an image, audio or file, check that your chosen tool supports that attachment type. In skedly’s current app, these formats are part of the scheduling workflow.
Set the date, time and any repeat
Choose an explicit date and time. A one-off client follow-up and a weekly team reminder need different schedules. Double-check “tomorrow” against the date and time of the event itself.
Check the requirements and schedule
Before confirming, check the recipient, content and send time together. Verify whether the tool needs your phone online, a running service or a final confirmation, then test it on a message to yourself.
Three messages worth preparing in advance
Illustrative examples, not real customer messages. The same message can be useful or confusing depending on when it arrives.
CLIENT FOLLOW-UP
The quote is still fresh in your mind.
Prepare today · Send tomorrow at 09:00
Hi Sara! Have you had a chance to look at the quote? 😊
Write it after your call, while the context is clear. Choose a send time that makes sense for the recipient.
RECURRING TEAM MESSAGE
A clear start to the week.
Every Monday · 08:30
Good morning team! See you at 10 for our project catch-up.
Set a weekly repeat only if the information stays accurate. A recurring message should be reviewed when the meeting changes.
APPOINTMENT REMINDER
A reminder before the appointment.
Appointment tomorrow at 15:00 · Send tomorrow at 10:00
Hi Marco, a quick reminder about our appointment at 15:00. See you then!
The reminder must arrive before the appointment. Keep the event time in the text separate from the scheduled send time.
Does it work on Android or iPhone?
Compatibility belongs to the specific tool and version. Do not assume that an Android scheduler has the same availability or behaviour on iPhone.
| Device | skedly’s current status | What you can do now |
|---|---|---|
| Android | The version developed so far is for Android. It is still in pre-launch. | Try the web demo and join the Android waitlist. |
| iPhone | An iOS version has not been announced. Availability is not promised. | Register your interest in iPhone so it can inform product decisions. |
Check these details before relying on an automatic send
Sending versus reminding
A reminder tells you to send a message. Automatic scheduling attempts to send it at the selected time. Check which behaviour the tool offers, including any final confirmation.
Phone and connection
In skedly’s current Android version, the phone must be on and connected, and the sending service must be available. This page does not promise delivery with the phone switched off.
Repeats and changing information
Use repeats for messages that stay relevant. Review the wording, recipient and schedule when an appointment or team routine changes.
Time and time zones
Recheck the selected date and time if you travel or the recipient is in another time zone. Verify your tool’s time-zone behaviour rather than assuming it follows the recipient’s local time.
Common questions about scheduling WhatsApp messages
Can I schedule recurring WhatsApp messages?
Choose a tool with recurring schedules. skedly’s current app includes recurring messages; the pre-launch page shows an example of a weekly team message. Check that the repeat and its content still make sense before using it.
Can I schedule messages to groups and contact lists?
skedly’s current app supports contacts, groups and contact lists. Choose the intended destination type and review the recipients. The public demo illustrates the workflow; it does not send to real contacts.
Can I include images, audio and files?
skedly’s current app supports text, images, audio and files. This landing page does not access your WhatsApp chats or address book.
Can I download skedly today?
No. skedly is in pre-launch and is not yet available in app stores. Joining the waitlist is free; pricing and a launch date have not been announced.
Is skedly an official WhatsApp app?
No. skedly is an independent project by Samuele Salis and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta.
